The program is conducted by Keith and Sherry Higgins, husband and
wife who are the main coaches, along with a few other dedicated and experienced coaches.
Keith
Higgins is CEO of Higgins Athletic Corporation. He earned his AA degree from Bellevue Community College
where he was a member of the JUCO All-American Men’s Basketball Team. He then went on to play for the Division I Men’s
Teams at the University of Colorado and at California State University, Northridge where he received his Bachelor of Arts
Degree. After college, Keith played professionally for the EA Sports National Team, the Harlem Comedy Kings, and then overseas
in the Philippines and in China before returning to California where he went back to school to earn his Masters degree from
Pacific Oaks University in Pasadena. Keith coached at the High School Varsity level for ten years at Reseda High School where
he won the Los Angeles City Championship in 2007, before accepting his current position, where is in his third year as the
Head Men’s Basketball Coach at El Camino Compton College.
Sherry
Higgins is CFO of Higgins Athletic Corporation. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from California
State University, Northridge where she was an all-conference team member and scholar athlete for the division I women’s
basketball team. Sherry is now the Varsity Girls Basketball Coach at Los Angeles Baptist High School in
North Hills, California.
All of our additional coaches have experience as players
at the collegiate level and/or as coaches at the high school level. We pride in our experienced and dedicated group of coaches
and counselors. Each member of our staff strives to create a supportive and challenging environment to encourage our
youth to work hard and to make individual improvements.
